A GREAT MONTREAL BUILDING WITH A GREAT HISTORY.

IN 1883

In 1883, a request from English-speaking citizens was filed with the City Of Montreal to name the avenue where the Galeries du Parc is located to Park Avenue. . It was only on September 29, 1961 that it was officially allowed to translate the name to Park Avenue from Avenue du Parc.

REMARKABLE BUILDING AND SITES OF MEMORY

In Avenue du Parc’s sites of memory, there is notably the Place du Parc complex. This multifunctional real estate complex succeeded the gigantic Cité Concordia project that would have changed the face of the historic Milton-Parc district between Sherbrooke Street and Avenue des Pins.

MAJOR INVESTMENTS

Les Galeries du Parc, owned by Second Placement Inc., has been proudly managed by The Redbourne Group for almost 20 years. The owner did not hesitate to invest several million dollars in the capitalization of the architecture, structure and fire protection. Significant upgrades to mechanical and electrical equipment have been made in order to comply with Environment Canada’s sustainable development program and contribute to a significant reduction in greenhouse gases and kWh. Optimizing operations with an automated system helped, among other things, to achieve these performance objectives.
